In the past few months of playing Tf2 I have been experiencing some very strange problems with all ingame sound; but not on every server I play on. When I log onto a server, about 30% of the time I cannot hear people speaking or any ingame sounds; However (and this is what really confuses me) I can listen to the audio on the map's films perfectly fine. Thus it isn't my speakers causing the problem. Another thing is it isn't certain servers which cause the problem. Sometimes it happens to me on our own sevrers, but when I return the next day the sound is back again. This has also never happened on Dod or Ccs (and I don't play Cod4 on the PC)
So what I am experiencing is an Ingame sound malfunction which effects all sound except map movies; happens at completely random times and doesn't allow me to hear anything else on Tf2 (except map films) until I quit and restart the game again.
Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this because it's really starting to get on my nerves. Especially when I join a server in hope of listning to people using the Hldj system.
