More Proof or Confusion on Pyro's Gender o.O

CS-Nation: (From: various) What is the next class set to receive new unlocks and achievements?

Walker: The Pyro is the focus on the next pack. We're making some significant changes to the base Pyro class & weaponry, in addition to the three unlockables and thirty-five achievements. We've never been terribly happy with the Pyro, in particular with her shallower skill curve than other combat classes. We really want highly skilled Pyros to be visibly more effective than the average Pyro, and the new features are designed to address that.

Well, I really hope the Pyro is a girl. It adds more originality to the game and surprise. Of course it could have been a typo or mistake but we can't really find out til "Meet The Pyro" but knowing Valve they'll probably not show the Pyro's face or voice somehow in that movie.
 
I don't think the pyro is a girl. Before all the gender discussion started Valve always said he (in interviews etc). They're just playing with us. The purse was just a small easteregg that started all of this, I don't think Valve knew from the very beginning that this discussions about his gender are going to happen.

the spy update is next i think u know y? because its the creator of valves fave class it i also think meet the pyro is goinbg to be last and they will have his face covered by a lamp and his voice modified if they ever do show his/her face it wont be 4 a lllllooonnnnnggggg time trust me on this 1 valave is like that it probably wont show it tilll like the new portal is out witch will take years god they say it will be in 2012 but u know valve lawl
 
Man... if the pyro is a girl, I do NOT want to see what she looks like with that armor off. The pyro looks lumpy, and his/her voice is more manly than feminine. eww... a lumpy, manly female........... need I say more?
 
you know wat would kill the pyros persona, is if they made a meet the pyro video and at the end the pyro takes off the gas mask and said, what'd u expect? and it was a girl with a beard

yeah, i wouldn't want the pyro to be a girl. that would be messed up.
 
If the pyro is a girl, she is probably like Annie Wilkes from Misery.....

We'll probably find out in Meet the Pyro, which means it'll be last =(
 
Mmm I am gonna put my vote on guy. If it was a girl, I think it would be a bit more obvious don't you? Plus, The voice seems to be a bit to deep.
 
the voice is tech. masked so they could just go either way saying it altered her voice, but id put my money on a dude, or they just dont tell us... ever and we just sit here speculating and guessing and pulling out more clues till we become so obsessed with it we go mad, and huddle in our corners playing TF2 looking for more and more clues
 
lol i think the pyro is a girl if you look at her locker in one of the maps cp you can see her purse

No no no, what really is gonna happen is when the pyro takes the mask off, there is another mask beneath it.

Then the pyro laughs mirthfully and the video ends.
 
Well, if you check the lockers in spawn, on the shelf next to the pyro mask there is a little bag with a flower on it. ;)
 
Valve knows that if they show the pyro taking of his/her mask, it`s gonna turn in to a big disaster, many people would leave TF2.
 
I don't think they will show a face, If they wanted to keep up the humor of the videos we would hear the muffled speaking and there would be subtitles on the bottom of the chat most likely, that way they could get the character, but keep the look.
 
If the pyro was a girl, wouldn't hear class be pyra? (probably not, no need to answer that)
But if the pyro was to take off his/her mask he/she would die instantly, doesn't anyone know that (total joke btw)
