MAUL Administration System Launched​

MAUL is eGO's brand new unified admin management system. This system replaces aging web panels for SourceMod admin assignment and will provide a framework for future administration functions such as ban management.


Currently, MAUL allows for any community member to enter and verify their SteamID. Leadership in turn will be able to easily manage promotions and administrator access to servers.

There will be an informal discussion/question answering session tomorrow (9/2) on Ventrilo. Expect an announcement late evening PST (~6:00).

In the meantime, feel free to ask questions in IRC or Ventrilo as needed.



Please enter your SteamID by clicking on 'MAUL System' above and then on 'My Game IDs' if you have not already. Even if you do not currently have admin, it is still highly recommended that you enter and verify your SteamID!

Unverified SteamIDs will be cleared from the admin databases after two weeks (9/14). Please contact support or see the thread in General Discussion if you have any questions or come across any bugs!

what will this be in sweden think it will be rly late for us but i will try to make it anyone that knows?

When we are completely done with this tool, everything will be global.

So what does MAUL stand for and how does it affect or would it affect the day to day workflow of an eGO admin?

Well lets just say its WAAYYY easier to add admins. And when the admins go inactive it will remove their admin. Just in case they get a wild hair and want to go crazy on us.

;) There will be more features to come. Global admin, global bans, global ban management. ect ect. i don't want to give it all away.
 
Just to add on to Don's reply a little bit...

Currently, it won't really effect the workflow of eGO members (apart from the initial verification process). Down the road, there will be some very useful features (e.g. ban management) that eGOs can use that will make server administration much more streamlined.

OK, this might sound like a noob question, but how to register?
Where should I go to?
 
All, it will also (eventually) be used for promotions.
