Finally! Got something to record music with

Finally I got my hands on something, even if it's cheap, the quality (Once I got it working) Is extremely good when coupled with my brand new software toy... Guitar Rig 3! I got an M-Audio Fast Track, so Now I can throw my guitar into my PC, and play through Guitar Rig 3, pretty much modify the sound to ANYTHING I want... there's an unlimited number of possibilities... Look for an upload of something soon I'll find a backing track of something I can play and record myself with it

Just before I head to bed here, I recorded that, didn't play too much with the settings or volume, I rushed it, want sleep, but I did promise an audio sample, so there it is

Very cool. I play guitar too (badly - lol), and I have an M-Audio Jamlab. It's pretty cool too. Where'd you pick up Guitar Rig 3 at? Was it expensive?

You can get guitar rig at Guitar Center for about 300 bucks, for the software, or 600 bucks to get both the software and hardware that comes with it

cool man, I have a studio with a Black Lion Audio modded Pro Tools 002 interface. I have an Avalon 737 and 3 channels of Rupert Neve outboard Pre's. Let me know if you ever want to work on anything. Monitoring is very important, to make sure what you record sounds good on lots of different sources. What are you monitoring with? speakers, headphones?

Using 5.1 Klipsch speakers mostly, but use headphones as well, I don't have a decent set of headphones and have to change my soundcard's equalizer to get them to sound decent, so when using something as the M-Audio's output I just go for the speakers

And as for you Master, here's a quick thing I did just for you , I didn't add any effects other than click and drag the Ultrasonic Amp, and noise reduction, which it didn't really need but I'm a sloppy player (As you'll be able to tell) There's only a thousand different things you can do to a sound, I just basically did nothing to one sound, It's pretty light, The gain was probably at half, as well as the presence, not only do you have about 12 amps to choose from, you have about the same number of distortions, all with their own individual settings, it's like having a stompbox in whch you snap your fingers and poof, it has what you want on it... Probably won't be using my BOSS ME-50 anymore
