Spore - Amazing game from Maxis (Creator of sims) and E.A (Electronic Arts).
You start off as a small cell in the sea, on a planet of your naming. You evolve when you want, adding spikes, extra weapons etc to your cell, then when your big and strong enough, you get legs, and come on to the land, then after, into tribal stages, then into civilization, and into the final frontier - Space Age.
