Should 9/11 be a national get off of work/school day?

We all know what happened on this unfortunate day, and today in my Geography class this girl brought up her opinion of having 9/11 a national remembrance day, and get the day off of school/work.

In my opinion, no, I don't think it should be. These are for holidays, and if you consider this a holiday...!chair

I also wanted your opinions on this, so, should it be one or not?

I'm going to say this is a very touchy subject for me.

We're sorry for those who lost family members and friends. We all know its a sad day today. It happened 7 years ago, and its a day we wont forget. So lets not post anything more about 9/11.
