Help me Skin!

Ive started to skin for the first time, and I was wondering how to get a metal effect on the pyro axe, Im making a Silver one with a Golden Edge and then a tribal pattern, but I dunno If the silverish gradient and the golden fill will come out metallic. If you can help me, please do.

Here is what I have so far.

and what bit is the tip of the axe on the parts that are top and bottom, so I dont get confused.

ok

1. how to make a nice looking metal finish. pick a dark gray colour. the colour you have now will come out REALLY bright. look at some texture brushes. just search for them under google

2. to enhance the wood . just go here and download the one i madew already. and just edit over top of mine.
