Magic the gathering

Alright so I decided to make a post about MTG considering I've been competitive with this game for years and years, and its an amazing card game. If you have yet to hear about it go to magicthegathering.com and check it out NOW, and get into it. Cards shops around the world hold tournaments for this game, and personally getting into it can be great, for your kids too if you have any considering its a fun family game as well! I always see familys at my store with kids, its a great way to socialize.

Basically, magic the gathering is a tcg(trading card game), where both players play out the roles of powerful wizards, and you start out with 20 life, the first to 0 life, or no cards in the deck loses! Sounds simple huh? Well it gets a lot more complecated, and a lot more fun once you get more into the game. So go find out about it now! =D

Anyways, for the eGO members that do know what this is, and have played it before, I'm just trying to see who out there has. At Nationals 2006, all of my stuff was stolen, 7 binders and 3 decks, two of them happened to be tier one, the other was extended, and I'm trying to get back into the game. You may even know me. In 2006, i was top 10 in the state of NY for limited, and around top 25 or somewhere(lol) for standard.

I just put a vintage sligh deck together.. me and a few co-workers have been playing at work when we are bored.

I would love to start playing events again, i love that game.. booster draft and constructed are awesome.

Haven't played mtg in quite a while but I played it almost religiously when I was younger. The last tournament deck I made was a Mirari's Wake deck (that should tell you players how long ago I played). I still have all my cards though, including my wake deck.

I started playing MTG back in junior high school when 4th edition came out. The last deck I ever made was in college, fast goblin deck with 6 creatures by the end of round 3. I have since stopped playing it, after discovering fps game were more fun.

lol np its all good man that was years ago anyways. and I went to go play a match, and i put my bag next to me, rather then under the table, so these guys ask me if i wanna trade, and obv i turned my head and said not now, im playing in tourney.

when i won my match, my bag was gone. the bookbag was also a limited eddition bag you can only get from top4'ing a JSS Championship(Junior Super Series).

but yeah thats how it happened

I played back in high school and middle school at a local toney place and once while there the owner and co-owner got into a fight pretty much while the co-owner was trying to teach me a card game so I quit going there but still have a deck at college and pull it out when I see other people playing i have about 100+ rares for sale not on ebay yet...

i have a Kamigawa style Rat deck, used to run a sliver deck(thats always fun, ) a green/white cat deck(also fun) knight deck(never finished) and my beloved Goblin deck, which recently became black/red goblins

If i get around to it, i'll list my goblin deck out for y'all

I used to play MTG also but I havent played in years. I left after oblivion came out. My fav decks to build were burn decks. But I did have a killer squirrel deck... +3 overrun FTW!

I used to play competitively, but gave it up as I found the newer cards to be getting more and more ridiculous. I still play, I just don't buy. The last competitive deck I made was Equipment and before that was Cunning Wish.

lol i remember jitte. so broken. sensei's top was also really broken.

haha squirrels are too good. I got my mom into extended a few years back and she had a really good squirrel aggro deck.

I played way back when Revised was the uberset (before Ice Age really shook up the game).

I tried to compete, but some guy with an artifact deck full of Unlimited moxes completely demolished me. It was sad. I kinda faded out pretty quick after that.
