No-Blood Help

Ok, so i sometimes go over to my friends house (i'm not weird, i'm 13..) , and his parents don't approve of bloody games. They do allow him to play IF he can turn off the blood, and it's really fun when he plays. I know there is, but i don't know it, so what is the console command to turn off blood/gibs? I have seen it in CSS, but i don't want to see a heavy bend over, lay down, and put his hands on his head everytime he gets backstabbed. EDIT: Serious feedback ONLY, do not say "lolgoogleit" or "don't go over there?".

I dont know if you can actually 'turn off' the blood, but you can replace it with a random assortment of objects, springs and hamburgers...party mode basically.

Ok so i did a lot of digging on this for you and supposedly it takes a lot of "involves some dedicated console work" as said in one of the forums i was reading. here are a list of sites and forums that might help him.

Personally I dont think anyone would know besides valve so i would email them and ask because thats the only why you are going to get a for sure answer and if he does the whole german patch thing it it will turn it all german then he will have to find how to turn it to english and that would be a hassle. But ya i tried to help but sorry I was never able to find anything accurate but im sure there is a way. If those sites dont help go to the 3rd page of the google search i stopped after the 2nd one. If i do randomly find something ill pm you

Just curious if this is how you always are, or just use to belonging to clans that are a little less helpful/friendly?

for future reference, i've been here for a few months, and found most people (read: "darn near everyone") OVERLY helpful and friendly as long as you don't start a new thread when there is OBVIOUSLY another one, or are really really really really really (yes 5 really's) annoying. and even then most people will probably help you, and just possibly guide you to the already existing thread

You could go into the multiplayer options on the main menu (where you load sprays and whatnot) click on advanced, and you can turn the decals down to zero, that way no blood will show up, along with no bulletholes, dirt from explosives, ect. Other than that. I cant help much.
