Bowie Knife sometimes (probably erroneously) called an Arkansas Toothpick: Large knife sharpened on bottom and first quarter of the back of the blade. Sharp enough to shave with, heavy enough to use as a hatchet, wide enough to use as a paddle, long enough to use as a sword. Usually carried in a sheath on the back because of it's size. Think K-Bar on steroids.
