I've been playing on this server a lot the past few days and really have been enjoying it. It's giving me a chance to play on some maps that I wouldn't normally play on.

I think my one suggestion for this server would be to lower down the percentage required to "rock the vote". It seems like it's set at something like 80%. Because of that, I've yet to see it even come anywhere close to having the vote come up, and one time I saw as many as 17 requests. Maybe lower it to like 51%, but make it so the current map is a choice on the poll so people who don't want to change can still vote to keep it the same. (I also wouldn't mind having the nextmap be voted on, but I'm not sure if that's possible.)

I love the rotation server. Last night and today it had ctf_well in the rotation. I <3 <3 ctf_well. Though, I don't think anyone else does!

Fastlane is much fun, but as its been said here, stalemates are more common than other maps.

I have been having a lot of connection problems lately, but I was able to play for a few hours. I was quite glad to have CTF Well back (don't worry Atten, you aren't the only one who loves it) and Fastlane was fun at first, but we had a lot of trouble taking that last point and if I remember correctly we ended up stalemating.

I like this rotation server. I also like ctf_well and all the other maps in the rotation. Maybe we should change some of the maps because if we have 24/7 maps like badwater in the rotation its like another badwater server for a while. So maybe we could try some other maps and see how the work in the rotation.

i like the idea of a rotation server... but ....

anyone else think rotating the game style on the same server is ....not the best way to retain players....

If im in the mood for cp... switching me in the middle of my cp fix to PL.... likely going to send me packing to a different cp server.

In short, i like the idea of a rotation server, but IMHO it would be A single play type with various maps. (bonus points if you let the server players vote on the next map)

Nightmare I like your ideas, and I agree with you we should only have one playstyle on each server. Maybe we should open up another server or two with different playstyle rotations and allow the pubs to vote on them. Anything you guys want to see in particular?

I'm not sure how much of a problem having the various playstyles on the one rotation server is. From what I've seen, a lot of people will go from playing Badwater (PL) to Well (CTF) to Fastlane (5 CP) to Gravelpit (Off/Def CP) without leaving. Personally speaking, I like the variety.

Of course, that's not to say I wouldn't gladly welcome more rotation servers.

A CP one would probably be the easiest one to do since there are so many to choose from that we don't even have servers for: Badlands, Granary, Well, Gravelpit, Fastlane, etc.

I personally do not mind the different gametypes. I would like to see maybe each map go from an hour to maybe 45 minutes or less to get more different maps in one session. Example: Last night when I started playing there was 57 minutes left in the map before it switched. I only got in some of the next map cause it was time for me to turn in for the night.

Either way it is very fun.

Just thought I'd post an update for people who haven't found the maps on the rotation server appealing: It looks like the rotation has changed some. Goldrush, Badwater, Dustbowl and Fastlane are gone. In their place are Granary, CP Well, Badlands and Hydro.

So, the Rotation server has the following maps:
1. Granary
2. CP Well
3. Hydro
4. Badlands
5. CTF Well
6. Gravelpit

Log on, and give it a try. Let's try to keep this server alive!

Glad you like it, I talked with Garden tonight and suggested removing the maps that we had servers for already, and he liked the idea. Then it was just coming up with a decent rotation with what was left. Hopefully this will work a little better than what we had, and be prepared for a map to be trimmed if we find it not working well in the rotation.

I played in the rotation server yesterday. Even though I only played gravelpit, it was a pretty fun map.
