TF2 will go to a menu load server, but crashes when i enter servers with vista 32 bit 2.33 ghz intel duo core 2 and 2 g ram

You have any other information?

Are your vid drivers up to date?

When I first got Vista (way back when it first came out) the source games wouldn't work because the video card drivers weren't good enough yet. I second tiddy's suggestion of the video card drivers... :)

You definitely want to check out your GPU manufacturer's webpage. I'd pick the latest stable drives listed on their website. I don't think windows update has ever been any good at keeping drivers up to date.

Yes, Windows Update is horrible at keeping 80% of drivers updated. I would check your manufacturers website for latest updates. For instance Windows Update shown my latest update for my video card was November of 2005. If I go to nvidia.com and check latest release I think is either late 2007 or early 2008. Good luck.

Ouch...integrated graphics? That could be the reason, although it's unlikely. It'd probably let you play and lag rather than just crash.

~Gooda~

Actually, you are probably on to something. If it is integrated graphics it probably has low memory probably no more than 128 megs of ram? I'm not sure, but I think the minimum is 256 for TF2?

Never mind TF2 ram... Vista sucks up some too so I would say intergrated graphics is the death of games. I for one have had vista since Beta and have never had game issues.

Vista might suck up ram, but Windows XP never used it. So if you had 2 gigs of ram and Windows XP only used 15-20% of your ram, but Vista uses more ram and its actually faster now compared to Windows XP. I didn't like Vista at first, but I had to get pass all of the fan boys arguing about Vista being slow and horrible which it was at first. If you think about it Windows XP was the same way when it first came out.

Also I forgot that with 32 Bit Vista the max is 4GB and not all of it is avaliable to programs without editing
