What would you like for events?

Of course, many of you have realized TF2, CS:S and CoD4 have many events and scrims and I know many of you have been asking "What about us?" or "Why aren't we doing anything?" Well, NOW is your time to participate!

While slayr and Tommy are talking about scrims, I'd like your ideas on what you'd like to see us do as a division in DoD. Just try to be creative in your thoughts! Whether it may be all going one class, map suggestions or anything crazy you can think. Just be sure to put a lot of thought into it, and make sure you have considered all of our rules and standing of things beforehand (that way, you avoid trouble )

royal rumble?? hardly see anybody on that we can kill/dominate and get a kick out of it... -cough- HL's (booster) -cough-

Many ideas fall out of my head during the day and ocasionally pick them up. Here are a few:

1. A Tournament- To find who is the best on each map we play.

2. Melee Madness- On a certain day, time, and map.

3. Single Class Fights- Remove the limits on each weapon to find who is supreme at each different weapon class.

Hope these thoughts help your decision process a little and if you need help planning any of these events or others, please PM me and ill be glad to help/setup/run the event.

I know closing down a server for some time just to get 15 or 20 players is not productive, but if there are incentives, like player of the week & month maybe more will come.
Like some weekly scrims and *only the score earned in those rounds* count for the award, so if a player wants to be counted he/she HAS to attend the scrim. then the best score is posted on the website so the player feels acomplished (along with boasting rights) =D
maybe if you win player of the month x number of times you get someting else...

And it doesn't have to be just that, it could be most headshots or dominations
I don't know well how hlxstats works or how the servers register all that info, or even if it can be done, but it would be nice

I think it's a great way to bring the game and the site together

I know we've gotten rid of House vs House scrims but, in all honestly would love to see that come back. If we can't do that, maybe just have 32 ppl sign up and draw random numbers and split the teams that way.

I would also love to see only MG battles. Case would be, no one is allowed to mount. Rather just run around with the MG's and shoot at each other.

Melee madness would be fun but, I have personal reasons for not liking it. I'm all for others to have fun with it.

Pistols only (nades and melee allowed too) could be fun, used to run a Counter-Strike server like that and it was a blast.

Before DOD:S I played a LOT of Battlefield 2, and the Pistol & Knife only servers were always the most fun. No 'nades though- makes it too easy (in my opinion)

2. Tornys ( sign up and break into teams.)
3. Soccer ( take a item put in middle and may only use meele, also may only sapture apoint of the item gets under the flag.)
4. One class only ( riflemen only, rocket only, ect...)
5. Only pistols.

Id like to start out with a royal rumble, but to bring back melee madness into regular rotation that would be nice. Also i think holding the events would be a good time to test out some crazy custom maps. I was talking to my =FL= advisor about this but if we could list the restriction of the mg, sniper, rocket classes that would be alot of fun to have only that certian class kinda scrim/event.

How about a sniper tournament? You could get everyone who thinks they rock as a sniper and have a person run across an alley and the sniper only gets one shot. You could do it like you were shooting skeet, or you could just always let everyone go sniper and they could blast each other from a distance.

The person with the highest score wins, you could even have someone make like a ego best sniper sig or something. These are all great ideas though guys, I really like the one about royal rumbles

Melee only, grenades only, and undeployed MG all sound interesting.

We could have an event similar to The TF2 division's Monday Madness, where anything can happen: melee battles, everybody one class, gravity changes etc.

I'm not sure what to suggest, as I'm pretty new to all this, but I would like to make a note here that I am all hands up for any scrims or what not. =)

I was thinking of just scheduled scrim matches. Whether it be once a week or once a month, just as long as we have a set schedule. This way, we can get better at the game and meet new people while we are at it.
