Default system crash
lets c if u guys can help me my pc TURNS OFF WHEN I PLAY GAMES LIKE WHEN IM PLAYING DODS A BLUE SCREEN FLASHES FOR LIKE 1/2 A SECOND AND THEN MY PC REBOOTS

Update your video drivers, audio drivers, and install any updates to windows if possible.


If possible right down what the bluescreen says and post it here.

Without knowing more, I'm going to guess that your PC is overheating/driver issue.

Havegooda has a good point - we're going to need some more information before we can help you. First places to troubleshoot are driver issues and overheating. If this is a problem that has just started happening, then I would suggesting checking for heating problems first.

1) Download Speedfan (or a similar application) and find out what temps your computer is hitting

2) Get a can of compressed air, open up your case and clean out your machine. Dust build-up is usually the main reason your computer starts to over heat. Pull out your video card and blow off the fan on that as well.

Overheating doesn't usually cause of BSOD though..... But, without more information it's only guess worse...

Full specs would help tons.

Zip the contents of your "C:\WINDOWS\Minidump" and post a link for the techies to download, this would be helpful as well

(Me not knowing if you have a compression utility)

In XP Pro do the following:

Right click on the "C:\Windows\minidump" Folder
Select Send To- Compressed (zipped) Folder

Now in the Windws folder you should have a minidump.zip file

Yea i agree with trykael, a good dusting will probably do you some good, but also check to make sure your have good airflow in your case and that possbily a cable or expansion card is not blocking your video card's exhaust.
