What's up with the point system?

All of a sudden people are getting 12 points for shooting me with a Kar98.

It seems as the point system is updated with various things.

First it shows you the persons rank and their points when they log on.
When you die, it shows you how many points you've lost.
It shows you the bonus points such as, Domination or 12 kills in a row.

Far as someone getting 12 points off of you.
If you are killed by someone who already has had 50 kill requirement but still has way lower points than you do, you will lose quiet a bit.

You are ranked at 8. Pretty much 90% of the player base will take 25 points off of you. But that is the max points they can take. No matter what weapon they use, 25 is the cap.

Not fun to kill lots of 2-3 pointers and loose 25 in a single dead not fun at all, but It's nice when you get bonus points for killing 4 people or more witch is awesome.
I think Ill start camping more... but I am terrible at camping, No patience.
is it the whole steam system or just eGO servers?
each server has its own HLstatsX i guess? Not sure some one correct me.
Ill see you in the servers and Hope to get 15 points+ from you if i manage to kill you.

oooh...the stats work this way? not really a reason to like them. was a bit confused, that i can kill people over people and just get lousy 2-3 points for each kill and if someone get's my a** i loose way more points. i lost over 400 points on one day. that really sucks...just to keep that level i've now it's hard work. for this reason i hate stats... they bring nothing but pressure. would be more fun without them. at least it's "just" a game.

same with me :/ i hate this ranking system, my kpd is like 1.2 or something but my ranks goes down, and my KPD goes up, its because of the unranked guys in the server, i hate it, but atleast people will be afraid if they know me (6) joke lol xD

it doesnt necessarily matter what gun they kill you with...but more yours and their points

I don't loose 25, they just gain that much.

Depending on their ranking I loose anywhere from 6-12ish (I'm guessing, but it seems like that, if I lost 25 I WOULD KNOW, cuase my KpD sucks...)

i detest the new points, if I am playing kalt and running the sewers and loose soo many points unless i lay down and camp some where. I feel like they are rewarding campers and not people who advance through and take chances.

i dont know who put this new point system in, i sure would like to choke him, i think someone is on the mind set that all new players to come to the servers are new at the game, and they give an advantage to them. it has taken a lot of fun from the regulars, regulars are those players who keep the servers going. As for me i dont like making new players day at my expense.
