Ok, i had some problems with The MAUL system, and more over, im kinda "dumb" when it comes to signing up this kind of things, so yea i did all im suppose to do, follow the instructions like get my steam id then sumbit it, but the problem comes after this, once i had my stead id submitted, i then log on into DOD:s , ego server, avalanche(which is my favourite map). It then states that MAUL Could not verify my steam id , something like that, cause my IP address did not match . and that i also states that i need to re-verify again at the websites, which i did and again the problem continues....Im stuck here to tell you guys the truth, i don't even know how to sign up for a MAUL system so easily like this....Anyone out there who is willing enough to help me, please do so =) Thanks,

For the time being unless somebody else knows how to fix the problem you are having (dynamic IP issues) you shouldn't really have to worry about the MAUL system untill the day that you are granted the eG tag and responsibilities of an eGO server administrator. That's really the largest use of the MAUL system, to track and give the proper controls and abilities to our admins across all of eGO's servers for an given game.

Arh, i see, dynamic IP issues , though im not sure what it is, but thank you so much, How bout you fusion? do you have this kind of problems too? Its really hard though to resolve this problems, but i hope it gets done ASAP. Really hard to live in Singapore and playing on US servers..Really sorry to all...

AHHH I see. Depending on what kind of internet service provider you have what some of them do is every time you log onto the internet you have a different IP address (an IP is literally the "address" to your computer from the internet that any other computer on earth/space can use to interact with you, granted you give it permission).

When MAUL tries to see if you're YOU trying to authorize it sees another IP then the one you used to start the authorization process and doesn't think it's actually your computer trying to authorize because, naturally, of the different IP address. I don't see as how this would be a problem because MAUL is a STEAM ID based system and not an IP based one (IP admin systems are a nightmare to deal with just because of this reason).

In Vista and XP start by hitting the WINDOWS+ R keys, then typing in that "Run" box CMD. After that, you'll get a MS-DOS comand prompt window and you should type ipconfig -release. Then wait to the computer to type something back to you, then type in ipconfig -renew.

What this just did is reset your IP.

NOW try opening a browser window, then also a WINDOWED DoD window, starting the authorization process in MAUL ajnd then DIRECTLY logging into a TF2 server. If this doesn't work for you, I'm going to have to reserch it further but knowing who your ISP is and what kind of computer you have and if you have a router, etc, would really help!

Good luck!

You can only verify your status with maul once you get granted eG, when you get eG i believe they make it so your IP is reconized, because maul is for admins only. so try waiting for eG, if you cant verify after you have taken a class, then ask an advisor

The issue you are having is the IP you used to register with the website Differs from the one you are at now. i can force verify your ID as long as the steam ID you entered is correct.
