Okay, so recently, during playing CS:S, I'll be playing.. la la la la. ANd then it just freezes, and it takes itself like, 5 minutes to un-freeze it-self, and then it does it again!!!!bang!bang

I know its not my connection because I have talked in vent, and surfed the web while it was frozen. Help!! :eek:
 
Have you updated anything recently?
You might want to check for errors on your hard drive, or check the error log on windows. it might show something.
The worst you may have to do is reinstall CS:S
 
video drivers are the first thing I'd look at. Do you have any other programs running in the background?
 
My Video Drivers are up to date and running well. Ive had the same drivers on my 8800gt Zelman Ed for like, 2 months now.

And I usually have vent running... Could that slow it down?
 
Did you tell Ventrilo to escalate its priority (Setup > Misc. > Process priority class)? In the past, I've seen folks that move that above "Normal" will see massive slowdown in games if some punk starts spamming keybinds or Text-To-Speech events.
 
You may want to check your task manager when this happens to see if there is a process that is using allot of memory. Perhaps some type of scanning software antivirus, anti-spy ware...

IS this on the jail server? If its happening on other servers I have no clue then.

Yah like he said sometimes (happens to me) spoolsv will take 100% of ur CPU Usage. If thats the case google spoolsv for answers.
 
Well, I always go through my processes and end anything that is taking up to much memory or usage.

Where are my error logs? I've found it on my laptop, but can't find it on this cpu.
 
TO be honest im not 100% sure.. When i left my pc on for like 4 weeks my video card temp was just unbelievable my hard drive's tem owas 126 Degrees (Pretty big)
My PC games kept freezing
EXACT GAMES: CSS,COD4,TF2, James bond nightfire(when i had it)
SO i dunno maybe?
