Ok people! have you ever heard about this little tricky tactics? I learn it from a guy who played in a different server(wonder why he did'nt want to play in ours!) . He mention that going around in dangerous corners, a guy might just pop up at you and bang! your dead meat! so how do you resolve this probs? easy , just random fire at corners, not only it scares the enemy off, but also deal some damage to them, but i myself don't master this tactics that much. Hope you guys can master it ! ( i always ended up getting shot first when it comes to doing this tactic) lol, CHEERS!

also....dont fire at every corner at your spawn or second flag like in kalt if your team has the bridge....lol

I do it when I know someone is around the corner. My idea is I know about where he is and if i shoot around the corner before i get to it, then it eliminates the delay in firing. Just gotta hope no one calls you a wall hacker. ;)

I use a K98 almost 99% of the time, I'm thinking this would not be good.
But I used to do that in CS. Or spray corners of walls repeadidly. If they come out its likely they'll limp a second and be easy target.

Never seemed to work well in DoD cause if you strafe while shooting, accuracy is as good as odds of winning the lottery.

in the old dod, I could tell where anyone was just by sound... but source made that pretty difficult... so guesswork could work better :P

Then they'll think you're hacking because you're pre-firing (thats what its called). Happened in the Dust2 server this afternoon.

I think more teammates should use a clip or two at corners. The whole game is all about corners. Kalt is a great example but most maps can follow the basic strategy. If you can prevent the enemy from using a corner then you can advance on it until you yourself can use it as cover. Cover fire at a corner keeps most from peeking out and bunches them all up nicely for some grenades. Once a corner is taken then everyone can move up and start hammering the next. It takes team communication to make it most effective and yeah USE YOUR MAP! The most important tool to use if you want to be called a hacker, which is like a medal of honor when you're just playing good :)

It's a good tactic to use when playing assault or support to reduce lag (reactionary) time when turning a corner.

It's also about knowing the map and where an enemy is likely to be given the momentum of the teams or other observations. As allies, I'm not casually walking through apartments when axis controls 4/5 flags.

And ditto to Currahee. Using your map to observe where your live teammates are, your recent dead teammates are, and the point where theses transisitons occur is what I call a clue.
