You guys should have some open to the public events to encourage more outsiders to join. Though I guess one could argue that the open servers are just that as there seems to be tons of ego members running rampant on them.

I will consider the offer, though I would like to spend a bit more time just playing on the servers and seeing if the community is a fit for me. I've only been playing on ego servers about 2 weeks now, though I have had a good time, I don't seem to be running into the more social members of ego on the instant respawn server.

Perhaps you all could point me in the right direction?

I am a firm believer that the community can make or break the game, because just playing TF2 over and over again will get boring, but if you can make friends in the process the game can last forever.

You should definitely check out some of the other servers, I am a little disappointed to hear that you dont seem to have found very social members of our clan, although I guess its fair to say there are always some everywhere, in or out of clans. Scott you'll be pleasantly surprised if you join and go to our tf2 events, we are all friends here and more social than you might think. Our Ventrilo server has so many people chatting on a daily basis. If you look on our calender of events we have tf2 events almost every other night, believe me its really fun. Like Monday Madness, where the admins hold a friendly inter-clan scrim and everyone gets either burned, drugged, timebomb exploded, etc, all while the gravity is low. We are a tightly knit community and we won't force anyone to join, but from my experience I've made more friends here than playing as a pub on any random non-eGO server.

I joined ego only after a week of playing tf2 seriously. Its nice to come into a server and find 4-5 people that you know and all say hi to you. Without a community an online game like this becomes boring rather quickly unless you play with real life friends.

Exactly why I joined eGO - they were also the first servers I've joined and played on. I also continue to play on them to this day. I have also made some friends on the servers, too.

Without eGO's servers, I wouldn't really play TF2. No lie.

wow me too .. Ego turbine is realy the only server i ever play on .. when i first started i went on ego turbine for a few days and joined it is great now to come on to the server and say hi to everyone like Esquire , Exhort , use my teleporter and loads more that play turbine

Scott : my advice to you is simple.

Join, and come out to one of our clan only events, be it the eGO hour on wednesday, the late night fight on friday, or the engie vs engie tournament on saturday. If you don't like it? then go ahead and leave. However, it doesn't hurt to check it out, and word has it that we are the best clan out there.

I played TF2 for a long time before joining eGO, and even before joining I knew that eGO servers were the best in existence. I played on them all the time, until I realized I should just go ahead and join. So I did.

I have to say we have a pretty great community. I have always found most everyone to be very sociable. I love the keep it fun attitude on the servers. I really dislike clans based on "PWNAGE!!!" and n00b hating. I'm too casual for that, even though I play way more than I'll ever admit.

lol the rason i joined was simple.. the first day i got the game after getting 5 kills i realized i like the server.. I join and now am a member and i love how every one is so helpful and kind
