Power Save!?

ok on and off while playing any steam game the monitor goes black and says..."in power save", does anyone know what it is or how to fix it?its gets really really annoying !bang

Does the computer itself restart or just stop functioning?

This used to happen to me, it turned out something in my computer was overheating causing the whole thing to just stop. After a reboot everything seemed to look fine, but I couldn't get anything to go until I rebooted. If your situation sounds like this, I'd say you are overheating something, get some new fans with better airflow would be my suggestion...

Right Click on Desktop
Click "Properties"
Click "Settings" Tab
Click "Advanced"
Click "Adapter" Tab

Than under the box that says "Adapter Type"
Post what it says under there. There should probably be an image and text to the right.


BTW. This is assuming you have XP and not Vista, not sure the process for Vista off the top of my head.

might be your mobo, my old mobo had a lame epu future that basically froze your compute until restart

go to your bios and poke around to check

ok im back it was my video card!!! ty so much uhh im preparing the computer to play again now!! w00t
