Hello everyone, I have a new game. I doubt it will catch on as well as the screenshot games, but I thought I'd give it a chance here. It was a hit on the other forum (Where I originally got the screenshot games from.)
Here are the rules:
Someone posts some excerpted lyrics from a song, and the people must guess what song the lyrics are from. If the second person guesses right, then they post some lyrics from another song. Guessing the band isn't required, but it'd be nice for several reasons, including the possibility that the song has been covered or if someone wants to know the band.
Non-English sung songs are allowed, but not preferred since this is a largely English based community. If you do post lyrics from a song thats sung in another language, please romanize any accents or characters, and don't use a translated version cause that can lead to more confusion; there was an instance on another forum where someone has posted the translation of a Japanese song, and someone knew the songs lyrics but didn't speak Japanese so they didn't know it was that song until the original poster gave up and told everyone what it was.
Example:
Guy 1:
Oooh, you cannot reach me now.
Oooh, No matter how you try.
Goodbye cruel world, its over.
Walk on by.
Sitting in a bunker, here behind my wall.
Guy 2: Waiting for the Worms by Pink Floyd.
Guy 1: Correct, your turn

Forum rules still apply. If your lyrics contain explicit content, please either put a warning tag up, censor them with some good old fashioned *'s, or just pick a different verse from that song. Finally, please guess the song legitimately. Googling the lyrics makes it too easy, and unlike the screenshot games, we can't make the lyrics cheater proof.
Please italicize the lyrics so they aren't confused with any other text in the post.
I'll start us off.
This song comes from my favourite modern heavy metal band. They are prolific for the fact that their vocals are led by a woman. She has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, IMO. While they do have many traits of modern metal, this sets them apart. This song is a bit of a deviation though, while it has their singers gorgeous voice, its a very melancholy song and wouldn't be thought of as metal save for the guitar riffs during the main hook of the song.
