Portal: prelude released tomorrow

officially stuck on the 9th level !bang

the original Portal was easy compared to this!

Portal: prelude is more in line with the advanced maps that you unlocked after finishing the original game :eek:

so far, for a free mod for Portal it's top notch - just a tad on the difficult side
 
For all those people who are complaining, I will download the thing and upload it on Filefront, and Megaupload (in parts...) and some other sites that allows free downloading w/o long time to wait or download. Even though its going to make them mad D:.
 
I love the voice generator he used for the characters, it sounds pretty real, although you can hear they're robots :P
 
I FINISHED THE GAME :D its really hard the last level i just dont get how i was able to do the 2nd part :O but the game i give it a 9.5 the first levels are a bit hard some are harder then higher lvl..lol
 
the game is definatly harder then the original portal. Right now im on level 13 (and was late to work cuz i was playing it lol)
 
I found some of the mid-levels almost mind-numbingly easy compared to what I was doing beforehand. Like the part with the bridge and the first time you see the zappy walls of death.

zappy walls of death= lag creators


my framerate drops horribly once them things go off lol had to turn down some settings

The first time you see those walls of death, I launched myself....laggggggg...alive on the other side! I was like YAY!

Honestly, I didnt like it that much. It didn't have the same feel as portal, and some puzzles were really confusing. I didn't get the same sense of satisfaction when I finished parts of this, I felt lucky.
 
Zapping walls of death - I'm still there....died too many times....much harder than the original. Cool story so far, but need to play more.

Heres the official walkthru its not THAT hard. They are also releasing a patch in the next few days to change about 50 different things people complained about.

I thought it was hard. Portal, was just too easy. This was a great addition to the story. i dont mind the robotic voices i think it adds to the weirdness of portal. I do wish they had more anti gravity puzzles though :(. I cant wait for the patch now :D!
 
lol mostly but THE LAST LEVEL IS INSANE :O ITS LIKE WHEN I SAW WHAT I DID I WAS LIKE IMPOSIBLE :O
