I found out today that i have a bunch of torjan horses and my bro had trojans like two days ago and he did something with my computer transferring files from his computer to my computer to his external.

My question is: Is there anything wrong with my computer? Do i need to save my files. P.s. My Avg said that i had 11 then i did "Remove Threats" then i got 30 Trojans and then i click "Remove Threats" then i just got 15 Trojans, I click "Remove Threats".

Any help will be useful,Ill ask my bro whats wrong too.

In that case, if he transfered files, then your computer, his computer, and his external HD have the trojans you explained.

Yes. Trojans are not good, they can track passwords and any other information that you type in. ANYWHERE. Then they send it back to the person who created the virus.

I would suggest trying what the people above mentioned, or just get a whole new Hard Drive. It's really hard to remove every single little piece of a virus.

SpyBot is also a good program that removes Spyware, (A trojan is spyware, and spyware is a type of virus). Spybot can be found at Bestbuy for no more than 50 bucks.

Can i do it for free?
Im doing a norton and a avg scan, Also super anti-spyware
Both free :(
Useless

Super antispyware finds nothign and AVG take WAY TOO LONG!!!
either try deleting all the files ;)
or try avast home edition ! its free! it finds a lot of trojans
I use avast pro but you know same thing :)

And yes use spybot to find spyware i recommend it I use that as well ;)

I used to use kaspersky but it made my steam act weird

and dont forget to run a registry scan when you're done!

and norton takes up resourses just like AVG :D lol
also try Spyware doctor ... u gotta buy it. it takes up resources but it finds things too but i dont recommend this product

Stuff you pay for is always better, especially anti-Spyware, until someone proves me wrong and actually can back up what they say. No way to get Spybot free legally.

:( New hard drive
Im gonna kill my brother!!!

I suggest you slaughter him instead... Jking!

I rather get Nod32, or use House call.

Use avast, or spybot... If you don't have the money, either way. Here is another good one, risky, but can cure it... REFORMAT!

A REFORMAT is when you boot your windows from your installtion CD from bios
and you delete the old partition with everything! and it reinstalls everything ! (RISKY)
As I said avast home is for home!
Pro is a little better but avast it still awesome

Reformatting it will be risky, but will clean it, including all your applications and stuff stored... Or use a Anti-virus or spyware.

Yeah, totally right here.

Best commercial AV Software:
Kaspersky
NOD32

Also you shouldn't be installing/using more than one Antivirus at a time.... That'll cause a crapload of problems.

i have used norton for some time, and yes it takes a lot to run that, i would also reccomend buying avast, also run in safe mode, the first time, and start scanning (set it to scan all (thoroughly), also a good advice would be to scan all downloaded files before installing them(1 typo might lead you to an obscure download site), i dont care if the file is from www..windows themostsecureintheworld, always scan before downloading, including transfers from your bro and good friends, :-) hope you get the bug :-)

I forgot to mention safe mode (Slaps self in head). Use safe mode when you are scanning it turns every program off except explorer.exe. Its really handy when your computer is infected :D.

CCleaner is not an anti-malware solution:
CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware! :)

or just get a whole new Hard Drive. It's really hard to remove every single little piece of a virus.

There is no need to get a new hard drive, a reformat will get rid of every last piece of the virus and won't cost you anything. You will have to backup anything you don't want to lose though, and make sure those files aren't infected.

Spybot Search and Destroy is a good, run every now and again scanner. I also have Malwarebytes' Antispyware installed, again good for a run every so often thing. Neither offer real time protection (unless you buy up on Malwarebyte).

I also use firefox for 99% of my surfing with a good adblock and phishing filter. I keep windows up to date and have a commercial firewall/virus/spyware suite installed that offers real time protection and a "silent" mode for movies and games.
