Apparently his childhood was so awesome they wrote a book about it. Here's page 63 from said book. A picture of him and his childhood friends eating a blueberry pie.

ok. it was a toss up between page 60, and page 63.
but page 60 only had a picture of the girl waving....

Someone cried, "Mop! Mop!"
A girl walked across the grass.
"There you are, Mop,"
she said to the dog.
"Where have you been all day?"
The dog just smiled.

although i thought page 60 was funnier. i thought page 63 was better cuz it showed all of Mop's friends (instead of just the girl).. and didn't flat out say that Mop was the dog. so it was kinda ambiguous... which makes it funny.

SO yes. the dog has a mullet. and the dogs name is Mop.
