Ok, I've started noticing that more and more people I come across in game and on the forums are from Texas. So lets hear about what you like (or hate) about Texas and where in Texas you are. You don't have to be too specific if you don't want to be. I'll go first.

I'm in Plano, TX and I'm getting tired of the heat.

Another interesting tidbit, the TF2 servers are also in Plano and I drive by the building almost everyday and wave at my friends.

Beaumont Texas here. As i understand it i'm only 300 miles away from most the eGO servers (which means i generally pwn my ping stats ).

Oh and i'm sick of hurricanes...and heat.

Tiny town 60 mi from Abilene which puts me, um, lets, see, smack dab in the middle of nowhere. I happen to like the heat. Dreading winter...brrr.

What I Hate About It: NOTHING! well ok. I hate that Its 40 degrees some mornings, and then 103? that same afternoon, or we had a morning the other day that was 48?, and last December 12 we had an afternoon that was 93?

this year mosquitoes have not been bad 'round here.... but yeah. last year they were so bad my sons leg was literally over %50 black at one time from them. at that point we went back inside.

Howdy fellow Texans. I live in the Bryan/College Station area - and after travelling most of the country and even a bit of Europe, I gotta say the food is just better here. And I don't mean just Mexican food, we have so many great ethnic cultures that have basically their own cities, that you can get REAL ethnic food almost anywhere in Texas.

Now I'm getting hungry.... maybe I'll hit up the tamale guy on the bike outside... now that's something you don't see anywhere else.

Actually I was hoping the Cowboys would lose and was frigin' pissed when the coach called a timeout right before the blocked kick. I'd like the Cowboys if they had a better owner.

lol, that's exactly what I don't like about Texas. Minus the horrible bugs and creatures. (And country music = gross)

Otherwise it's a nice place to be...lots of blue bonnets here in the hill country. Too bad it's so warm though, I prefer the cold.

This is a bit of a stretch for me because I'm currently in Raleigh, NC but I spent about 12 years in Austin and will be moving back to Austin next summer. I definitely say no state income tax is awesome. Unfortunately property taxes are high, particularly in Austin. They'll get you one way or another.

Howdy, my brothers of Texas! I live in Amarillo, named by an armadillo, we don't have a lot of mosquitoes here, and tornados, hurricanes etc. And Neojed, Amarillo is right next to dallas!. Mosquitoes dies in Amarillo if they are not next to a pond of course, might like to meet a Ego member around this place, or am I the only one D=. Climate in Amarillo changes a lot, one day is 90˚ and the other days are 60˚, and if your a snow/winter person, snow tends to stay for about 3-4 weeks if the sun does not show up, and we have lakes also in the summer.
