A tip for anyone

Talking skills...I had to actually leave the server cause I was getting frustrated. If you take fire from somewhere, TELL YOUR TEAM. I literally saw a guy watch me run into enemy fire. Then when I respawn the guy says "Did you get killed by that guy who shot me?"

Another point also, be descriptive. What I mean by this, "There is a guy behind the rock." That is usually followed up by something along the lines of "Which one?" or "there are about 30 rocks..." I understand there isnt a compass (unless there is one idk I havent seen it), but you can still be descriptive. IE "Im taking fire from bravo" or "(insert player name) there are 2 guys moving along the ridge to the right of you, they haven't seen you yet"

One small thing, this really doesnt apply the our servers yet, well the first one anyway. Don't automatically punish someone for a TK. I would say almost all TKs that happen, happen because you ran around a corner and your teammate got spooked. By now, most of us should be able to tell the difference between marine camo and ins civis. But there are still alot of people with the "Shoot first ask questions later" attitude.

If you have a perfect view of a whole group of enemys, wouldnt it be better to just....FIRE a rocket into said group? lol.
Seems kinda like a hassle to run all the way over.

If you have a perfect view, take the shot. I'm talking about when they're bunched up behind cover...
Anyways, suicide nading is more fun than just shooting at them xP

Lol I'm talking about tips for getting better! I know people play to have fun but, I'm not gonna tell someone to have bad tatics when they want to get better. I know that some of my own strats are not correct due to the fact I'm not completely done analyzing all the weapons and maps. I will make a final copy of all the tips (with credit to the contributers) on about November 18 due to my school work. I DO suggest using some skins (not a lot) to increase accuracy. And YES skins from the INS forums NOT FPS BANANA are allowed by the developers

Using any skins besides the ones put in the game is cheating in my opinion, even if they are on the ins forum. If they wanted to give us better aims such as those skins they would actually put them in the game instead of leaving them around for a few people to download...

on the Support class...Spray...spray at the enemy...spray where the enemy is...spray where the enemy is coming from...spray where they might come from...and then spray some more...

you won't affect the "rambo" types (you'll kill them), but the experienced INS players will be affected by the pucker factor from a deployed machine gun suppressing their actions. They'll slow down, hesitat, bunch up, run out one at a time and get mowed down...so let everyone know you're there and that the way is shut...unless they want to run out and open it...

I've been on both ends and have seen squads change direction and walk into flank traps because of a spraying support player...a flank trap is when you know an enemy's only option is to flank your position to get by, so you set up the suppressing fire to direct them into the flanks that are guarded by, i dunno, maybe another support or a few riflemen...

in urban warfare, the SAW is for creating hard points...so find a good spot ahead of the group and create an opening for the team to advance from.

and don't forget to ASK for everything...cover, smoke, flank protection...ask. If you don't, no will provide it cause everyone has there own objective to complete.

pick your cover wisely, laying on the ground in the street is dumb, but a spot with a wide field of view is best. Waiting for guys around a corner is hit or miss, if you lag, or they beat you to the punch cause they know you're there, your dead.

Your real enemy is the sniper and grenadier, they will attack you from down range so pay special attention to the openings further out.

Don't forget its only a game, and no one lives forever, especially not in a video game about sectarian violence(lol).

Sonny you're one of the few people that understands the SAW and its potential. It has more of an intimidation effect to it than anything, though you do have to make some kills for it to feel valid. I'd also say that often you can use a good marksman in the same capacity.

I'd say though that when you are using either the SAW or a scoped rifle you really want to have more of a long range area that you can cover, but you also want to have to only watch one general direction. Often this requires some teamwork.

Unless you're trying to be quiet and move to a position stealthily, you usually want to shoot even if you're not sure that you'll hit them, you just want to make the enemy pause and hesitate.

tips and tricks are all well and good but getting out there and really doing it is the only way anybody is going to learn really. Once you get your face blown off a few times you'll figure out , hey maybe I dont wanna go that way O.o

While sniping, it is better to do what is right. Sometimes being on the front lines can be helpful, but sometimes staying back a bit farther can be helpful.

Remembered a big'un.
So your in a nice spot, whatever, rack'n'em up and drop'n'em down. Life is good.
But WAIT, somebodys gotten wise to your game and lobbed a smoke to secure safe passage for his team!!!

So now your thinking "But-but-but i was doing so great, now theres this...SMOKE POOF all up in mah sights, blockn mah views! GREAT now im useless".

STOP.......hammer time.

Get this, YOU CAN STILL SHOOT
I know, its crazy cause you dont SEE anyone there, but if you just lob a constant stream or burst into that smoke, some idiots gonna do whats called "getting lane'd" he'll literally run into that physical hose stream of bullets and get annihilated. Hey, maybe his pals will say "ah well, jim just got unlucky that was a stray, ill be fine." and run right into it too.

lol classic

experience is key of course...I've played SOCOM with trained soldiers that apply their real world knowledge to games like this and COD...so its helpful to get killed by better players for good reasons and not just being a noob lol

Something I just learned the hard way, shoot through doors before opening them. Three guys ran into a room, all dead, the guy inside was waiting for me too. I had an M4 so I just unloaded on the door in his general direction, I went inside and found him dead.

yea if you at least get it in the right direction you should at least scare him so that he might back away and you can move in
