Sharp HDTV cant do satellite?

so today i set up my parents Sharp HDTV Flat screen for them. this is it here:

so after getting it up, i came to the problem where the satellite box (direcTV) wouldnt link up if i must say to the TV. i tried everything. anyone know how to properly add the satellite reciever to the TV?
