Help me choose a desktop. Please :D

Ok, I took a look for you I'ld personally change it for the coolmaster 650W power supply that's there its 20 bucks dearer than that one but it'd be worth the fast that it has a 5 year warranty.
 
IDK about warranty, my dad will pay for any fixes =P. How much do i really NEED? Is 420 watts enough for that build?
 
Never trust the stock power supply, they do fail and when they fail they don't tend to have the same safety features. Thats why I advised the cool master. 650W also allows you to upgrade in the future.
 
I'd have to agree - the power supply is one of the most important components to not skimp on. I'd recommend a name-brand PSU weighing in at at least 500-650 watts, 750 if you can afford it.
 
Alright, scratch the ibuypower. Too expensive for me. If i get the dell and insert an 8800 gt, will i be gaming in no time?
 
Ok, dell are more expensive and I personally dont like them, if you buy the parts sepertly you can shop around for the cheapest deal, I 'ld build your own, you can get a case from as little as 50 dollars.
If you are going to I'ld go for
Q6600
Some form of ASUS motherboard (sli)
4 GB of ram (crucial blistrex seems like a good choose)
520-above Coolmaster moduler PSU
9600 GT
Harddrive at least 500GB
CD/DVD rewrite at highest speed (bluray if you can afford it)
Artic pro 7 cooler
And some fans.

You need an intel motherboard for starters. Are you going 64-bit Vista? 4GB isn't really necessary for most people. I have the same processor, and it rocks.

Dave is just angry that i dominated him as a shpah when he was a pyro. Give the guy a break, getting killed by the class you should kill is frusterating. I thank you for defending me =P


On a more serious note, any have reccomendations of a dvd/rw drive and cases and fans and such?
