AMD Phenom X3 8450 Triple Core processor Nividia Nforce 750 motherboard Geforce 9800 Gt Videocard 512 mb
 
Wow a triple core I didn't even know those were sold. Usually its a Dual or Quad core unless you steal the xbox360's processor.

An 8800GT is the exact same card as a 9800GT (hooray for Nvidia's naming scheme!), with a different cooler/artwork. The 8800GT is also cheaper, which would go perfect with a lower budget (as you suggested).

Tri-core CPUs are the product of AMD's attempt at a quad core CPU. There was a huge bug in the first production run that affected a single core, so they disabled them and marketed them as tri-cores.

And it supports Pci-E 1.0 - 2.0 :). Gooda, you just convince me to buy 8800GT instead of the 8600GTS.

The bug isn't fixed in the tri-cores (obviously), but it is in the new quads. The bug only affects one core, so that's why AMD disabled the core in question and sold them as tri-cores. The work fine, other than the disabled core, which you won't notice.

Agreed. Although I am curious as to why he is choosing to go with a tri-core AMD when he could get a quad-core Intel at around the same price?
 
its cus i wanna test something else then intel core / if it just sucks i just change it al to intel

amd is usually not performing as well as intel. and why 9800GT? i dunno how much they are going for but if u got the money got at least 9800GTX+ or 4850. they are much better cards.
 
well its so many peapol say that amd is better and intel better so its kinda hard to know Hey whata heck ill buy it if i need to upgrade it i do it and one thing i did wrong its a AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad Core :P
 
Gahh, I don't like AMD, my first AMD adventure so far, and my last. They get hotter than intel, they aren't as overclock-able as intel.......
