what IS the intelligence?

I'd hate to disagree with my esteemed colleague Dreadmaker, but the case cannot contain 100% water unless you assume that the case itself is made buoyant materials like foam. To me the case seems to be made of plastic or at least metal, meaning that if water is the payload, the case will need to be at least partially air to make the case neutrally buoyant.

I would submit to you that never once did I suggest that the case NOT be made from a foam, and not once did I suggest the case was full to capacity with water.

If, however, this was the case, we'd see the case moving around on the ground as the water inside sloshes. We'd also notice a drunken waver in any character as they move, with the water sloshing about. Finally, the case, if full of water, would be quite heavy; 20-30 lbs. However, the Scout can still double jump with one strapped to his back.

I would point out, sir, that while in a real life scenario, this would be correct. HOWEVER, it is an imaginary medium that we are dealing with.

Consider for a moment, the rocket jump, or the sticky jump. If one were to attempt to gain vertical advantage through use of explosives, they would find themselves in more pieces than when they started.

How about a heavy? jumping with the minigun, which reportedly weighs 150 kilograms, would be nigh on impossible for any human, despite what may be said about the heavy's formidable size. conversely, look at the scout. how probable is it that one can stop motion entirely, and direct energy in another direction entirely, in midair?

You see, AutoDMC, The case which is mostly full of water is just another of the slightly miscalculated half-truths that exist within the world of Team fortress.

I think this is the solution of all options...

THE INTEL IS A SPY!

You never suggested it, but I did. it's quite shiny to be foam. However, a metal briefcase full of foam would work as well. Hadn't thought of that.

I fully accept that they have advanced weaponry with strange side effects, as I believe I mentioned that as well. That they can build advanced tech, but can't pick up a briefcase if it's the same color as their shirt.

We might as well say that the intel briefcases have repulsorlift anti-inertial systems installed to make them float and rotate.

I'm not going to make excuses for the game. My point still stands, though, that the intelligence is worthless, nothing but a football in an insidious game for an insane CEO.

:D

dude your post on page 2 blew my mind but its possible that MAYBE...

the announcers are twins who like the same things :D they're both psychotic but they're in an endless war over...something? a fight that happened in there childhood perhaps, they both got 100 billion dollar inheritance each and with it they hired people who enjoyed fighting and built machines that could clone them (thus explaneing respawn AND how there can be multiples of one person)

maybe the intel is something of they're inheritence they faught over in they're childhood...namely...a fraction of mothers uber secretive pie recipe and they only have half each which they keep in breafcases, they made a game out of it useing the cloneing machines and they're mercenarys or whatever they are...

okay im makeing a whole history here so im gonna shut up before i cant stop :p

dude your post on page 2 blew my mind

Been thinking about writing a comic/story based on TF2 and had to come up with my explanation :D So I had it prepared!

Maybe it contains Victoria's Secret! Maybe that is Victoria's secret, she is the pyro!!!!

Just papers. They are all blank. That's why they have to cap it again, because they discovered there was nothing in there.

It's the secret documents! Have you ever wondered why Red always seems to be attacking Blu? It's because Blu is the more advanced but dull faction (let's say the Germans in 1914) and Reds are plucky chaps whose wile always wins in the end (let's say the British in 1914). The Reds just want Blu's technology.

I think once all the classes have been updated, valve should reveal what is in the intel, it would be cool to know.
