I'm a Canadian living in the Excited States. I was born in TO but I lived most of my life in Edmonchuk. Got my engineering degree at the U of Eh. Played the coolest game on earth on the road and on ice, wearing jeans and a toque. Snow came in September and lasted til March. I learned how to steer out of a fishtail, learned how to rock a car out of a snowdrift, and learned how to drive a car sideways using front wheel drive and the handbrake. Drank real beer at the legal age of 18. Watched a young Doug Flutie play football with 3 downs and a 110 yard field. I ate venison and duck that Dad and I shot, and Mom made nanaimo bars for dessert. Spring was for fishing walleye and summer was lake trout. Watched Gretzky and Kurri and Coffey and Messier and Lowe playing live at the Coliseum, we even got gold seats a few times. That first Stanley Cup was a feeling like no other.
Oiler fan forever. Too bad there's no hockey down here.
