Fears?

Dying without finishing goals and without making sure those who depend on me are at least financially stable.

I guess you can say it's fear of failure.

[/quote1184451525]Same here.

I've had arachnophobia ever since I saw the movie Arachnophobia. xD

A random episode in the life of Fluffy...

1996 ..I used to have a curly hair tarantula, who hated being in his cage. He'd get out a lot, and sleep on my heated waterbed. My brother was/is arachnaphobic to the point of losing control. He's also 6 years older than me. He moved back home, and was going to take over my room when I went out of town because I had the phone and cable in my room. It never dawned on me to double up the weight on top of Morty's cage, so that he couldn't climb out...
I get home from band camp (yeah, go ahead and laugh) and noticed there was something wrong right away... There were new sheets on my bed. My baseball bat was missing. And Morty's cage was empty. No one wanted to tell me what happened until after they took me out to dinner, and had me "prepared" to hear it. Dad couldn't stop cracking up telling me:
My older brother was lying in the dark on my waterbed, talking on the phone with his girlfriend, and felt something brush his leg. He said he didn't know what it was. So after it happening a few times, he turned on the lamp and saw 5 inches of hairy "hell spawn spider" crawling on the bed near his thigh. By the time my parents came into the room to find out what woman was screaming... He'd already beaten Morty to death with my baseball bat and ruined the sheets with spider blood. They bought me new sheets, and tried to act normal when I got home until they explained. As horrified as I was to hear about my pet... That's one of those moments I would have PAID to have been home with a video camera.

Ok, now.. My fears? I actually can't handle "small" spiders. Those furry oogly eyed jumping spiders freak me out. And June bugs. *shudder* The whole clicking noise/flying thing... Oh no. So not down with that. Those are probably my two worst. I can handle heights, blood, needles, darkness... But the sound of a June bug buzzing by my ear or getting caught in my hair makes me panic.

Well, my SAT essay question was "Would you rather focus on just being happy or focus on achieving goals knowing that it will make you happier?". Your fear, however, can lead to incredible stress and depression. Well, at least in my opinion. I ended up getting a perfect 12 on my essay due to the creative examples I used.

1.) Ernest Hemmingway once said that to become a man you must achieve three goals. His were climbing a mountain, saving a life, and confessing his love for a woman. He achieved his goals, but he died by a self-inflicted gunshot (Suicide). Usually when you commit suicide, you're not happy with life anymore.

2.) The country with the highest suicidal rate is Japan. Japanese teenagers are strictly given the thought that if you do not do well in school, you have no point in living anymore. Most of these suicides take place within a subway system.

Of course, I'm not accusing you of having thoughts of suicide, but you should think optimistically about the positives in life. Just think positive and take your time with things. Your psychological health is more important than achieving your goals.

another one is being on a high building/place near the edge... doesnt matter if people are near me or not... it just when i get near the edge i get a feeling like i am tipping forward and it scares the HELL out of me... it is hard especially when i feel like i WILL fall and there is nothing to grab on to... that has to be my worst one so far

This is so stupid but im kind of afraid of being in rooms without the doors closed. Like say I was sitting in a room with friends watching tv and the door was sittin slightly open, like even an inch or two, i begin to get really uneasy.

The longer it goes on the worse it gets until i cant focus on anything on the door until I MUST get up and close it. Ive tried to resist it but i simply cant but sometimes if i totally occupy something with something else, i dunno say my girlfriend :), i can ignore but its still pretty bad.

I guess its some kind of OCD or something and google didnt seem to bring any phobia names lol

Oh and i can get a tad calustraphobic if i feel trapped really close up like in a sleeping bag with the hood thing or if i get stuck in a sweater lol

...im odd

the fear of the unknown is what fear is....the unknown
