Good vid card

Bump down a series Flying. The 9800GT is the exact same card as the 8800GT...literally.

Different name, different artwork on the cooler...same card. The 8800GT will do you well, not sure on the 4670s, haven't seen too many reviews/benchmarks.

ok, hold on, 1st off, evil what is ur setup? next thing, its not a good idea to be suggesting nvidia product if he noticed an ati radeon card. my guess is is that he has an ati card & wants 2 upgrade his card so that he can play crysis on his ati card on some decent settings. installing an nvidia vid card in his motherboard (that may use ati technology) wont agree w/ the card. i have personal experience w/ that same issue. i received what i call "hiccups" in the graphics. it kept messin up the graphics so bad that i couldnt play the game. so i switched back to my nvidia card (since my motherboard has nvidia chipset installed on it) & waited til i got my current card. best thing to do is get evil's stats on his machine then go from there.
 
first of all im an ATI dude :D and im looken at this card cause it its 10x better then what im running (hd 2600) and it dose NOT need any extra power it only takes from the mobo cause i only have a 450 psu and i dont have the cash to get a new psu and a vid card this one for 118$ is good and will do me fine i was just asken what you guys think of it
 
personally, your better off saving a few extra bucks and saving for a 4850, those do take an external PCI connector. Although (take into factor i have no clue what your running lol) i dont believe you would even be close to using all 450 watts of your PSU. Im currently running a 500W and i have 3 HDD, 2 x 25cm Fans, 4 cathodes, 4 pin CPU power connector, AGP 3850 graphics card (which takes 8 pin PCI-E connector, which i dont have so i have the converter that takes 2 molex), wireless card, 120cm fan i believe, and im running just fine on 500 watts, so im guessing you can afford to get the 4850 and be fine on power
 
hey evil jester, id say if u wanna go for that 4670 card & u got the $$, id say go for it. i did some research & wasnt quite sure bout the iceq turbo technology but apparently thats 4 the cooling assistance on the video card, but overall, it seems to be a good gamin card. i would def suggest reading all the info that the customers gave bout the card tho (just a lil bit of advice). i wouldnt really go w/ arnot's suggestion unless u really wanna save up & wait 2 go n get the l8est card.
 
ya i wanna go top of the line but im gunna wait tell i get a job and make a new top of te line computer so this is just a little upgrade so i can play some newer games cause im thinken why spend 180$ on a new card when im plaining on spending upwards of 3k on a new computer LOL and thanks for the imput i might go for a 4850 but were would i find an adaptor???
