Meeting new people

One of my closest friends is someone I had met through a different game. Now he comes out every summer to kick it for 2 weeks. It's pretty awesome meeting new people and sharing experiences. It's a total yes for me!

I wish I still lived in California, that would make this thread so much better for me. As it were, stuck in the mid-midwest, it makes it so difficult for me lol. I'm not even close to any *major* cities. Topeka, KS is about 40 minutes away, Kansas City is about 1.5-2 hours away, and I don't have a car x.x

lol i would but im on the eastern cost, but yea i love LAN party's usually me and my friends try to have one or two ever month , we play DoD, CSS, war craft 3 DOTA and soon war hammer 40k. i like to beat the living daylights out of greenlight terror >:} in dota and soon warhammer 40k but yea lan partys are the best just about Zero Ping and if you get mad at some one you can just take two steps and PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE lol {JK} but besides that its good to actually see the people that you play with online.

Also, on top of that JohnT did mention if he hosted a eGO BBQ if we can attend. Is that still up? XD~ (maybe hosted is too expensive of a word, how about a Pot Luck?)

Maybe we need to rent a warehouse or something, with 300+ people saying yes, we could have everyone contribute $15 bucks for rental, equipment/utility and food.

I love LAN parties, I hit up 1 at least every month.
I'd be all over that, as long as it was in Norcal/Mid Cali. Southern california is too far for my broken old piece of crap to travel, and am currently looking for a new job, so I don't have much money to blow on gas.
