Ping Help

Thanks for reading, Before playing EGO Servers i played many others, and i would also get kicked for my "Ping" being to high, it took me a while to figure it out, i still don't know what it means, someone said it's the Latency or something, Anyway it says it's 300-500 So how can i lower it? I have very fast internet connection.

Or at least throttle your upload...that's the biggest mistake people make when they torrent/whatever. It kills your download and upload when you try to upload too fast

First off all kicking people for highping is lame, cause it does not cause lag for other players, ore disrupt the server in any way. your performance depends on two factors - your graphical performance (measured by your FPS), and your Latency (measured by your Ping)the longer distance between you and the server, the higher ping/latency.
are you dl stuff while playing, dont.
close all unnesecary programs, that are running in the background.
avscanning can cause it too.
how many ram do you have?
test through this link, and post what it says, when done:

Debates debates. I've seen myself where there are 5-6 people with a high ping supposedly slow the game down, although this may just have been the high concentration of laggers seeming to create the illusion of a slowdown.

Its a common misconception just because there are laggers your going to slow down to, wrong like AWPerator said when you see them lagging you think you are to, its an illusion.

Also sometimes it is lagging but its not you or the lagger its the server.
