Ugh, Steam Prob. Help

Ok so I'm playing on a server and says this is boring. So I disconnect. Then I minimize CSS and after 5 secs on my desktop Steam freezes. Then it disappears and I get the Microsoft Send or Don't send error message.

Yet CSS is still there even though I can't load it so my option is to CTRL+ALT+DET and close it. Anyone know why this is happening. Also and solutions?

Only has happened about 25 times for having Steam for like 5 years now...
 
If you never send those reports you can disable them in system
(Start/Right click on my computer/Properties/Advanced tab/Error reporting)
Choose disable.

The problem your having is a program called DRWATSON, (its windows debug program.) If that crashes while debugging that program then it locks the process. Next time it happens open up task manager and go to processes, terminate HL2.exe (CSS/any steam game) and drwatson.exe (you do this by right clicking) And then you can reload CSS. I hope that can help you.

This isn't going to be a hardware error.

I'm pretty sure Dave answered this in his above post, had no idea about the disabling error messages, went in and did that right away. :)

Maybe when he said to provide us with your pc rig, he meant that the actual pc itself should be shipped immediately to him! :D

The message hopefully it works if it does thanks. Now the DRWATSON thing I never knew something like that existed. When I go to task manager I see CSS STEAM and other stuff in APPLICATION tool not processes. Now is the drwatson in Processes or App's. If in app's then must not be prob. because it's not there. And the guy who said post ur rig... If this was CSS crashing with the message it may be a hardware issue. This is steam though and when I ctrl alt det out of Steam.exe CSS is still there but I have to ctrl alt det that out to since it doesn't respond without steam.
 
In, task manager you have 5 tabs Applications, Processes, Performance, networking and users. In the application tab these show programs that run in a GUI(graphical user interface) or similar environment. Processes show you everything, in the process window you should see something called "image name." CSS is called hl2.exe and steam is steam.exe. By right clicking on hl2.exe it gives you the option to terminate it, if it doesn't quit then a program called "DRWATSON" maybe active if this is the case then terminate that by right clicking on it and terminating it. Thats how you fix many crashes.
