Cs:s No Console

when i click activate console in advanced, and then apply, and then keyboard the sentence console simply is not there, so i can activate it(by default ~)ore redirect it , its simply not there, i did some googling, and all that was there was click advanced bla bla,i tried stempowered too, same thing.So i thought it was some install glitch,i deleted the game and installed it again, with direct download from steam, and from two different disc`s where i also hace cs:s, tried to delete steam, and all games, and did install all over.....sigh :-(.
this is really bugging me, and my son, because he just joined the clan, and has started playing cs:s a lot.
come technerds, show me your skills, and id prefer quick since my son is here soon

Thats because you need to use the key under escape. `

maybee i said it in a wrong way, sorry if that is the case:when i click keyboard i can redirect lets say "jump", ore just use the default, but there is a word that says "jump" in the left side, and if i doubleclick in the right side, i can change to whatever button i want to, but there is not, i repeat not a single sentence in left side that has the word console in it.therefore i cant open console when in the game.
i hope it all is written correct so what i mean is recieved correct.

You can't recognfigure that key IIRC.

I'm not sure if you use the same keyboard, layout but I think the button for your console is `??, which is to the right of the 1 button.

Easiest way,which i use,since it never opens for me,god knows why,go to your steam game icon,on your steam list,right click,Properties,and Set Launch options,you type in "-console",now every time you go ingame,the console will be opened

O boy, my son will really be happy, when he tommorow wake up, and after we have breakfast, and turn it on, go into game and sees the console .
