Sorry to make this my first post but I'm not really happy about the way the INS server is run in regards to blatant, intentional TKs, most of which appear to be occuring by =(e)=/=(eg)= types.

What I found truly funny about the server was how the (e) types would warn ppl about their language and not to swear and then a second later they would TK you because you happen to be in a spot they wanted.

Hate to say it, but I find it hard to see any standards with your "clan", if that's what these (e) guys are. The server was fun up until the immature retardation started.

The few times I accidentally TKd I always apologized over voip, but no sooner would I do that than the person would come up behind me and intentionally TK me in return.....w/e, if it makes them feel good.

Unfortunately my connection to your server isn't that great, certainly not the fault of eGO, so that's the other reason I'll probably find a new INS hunting ground.

Apparently ppl enjoy the lack of control the admins have.

Good Day!

Roller,

I am saddened that you have had a poor experience. I have been playing on the FF server quite a bit and it can be a handful to manage.

(e) members are new recruits. They have no admin powers and have to earn the trust of leadership to move to eG, then eGO. If you could send a PM to one of the advisors in the Leadership Roster with the names and approximate date/times they will investigate further and take any necessary action.

I have submitted a ban request for one (e) that was intentionally TK'ing. I think this is one of the individuals with whom you are referring. They will be dealt with soon enough.

Thanks for your patience.

I've noticed players TK'ing intentionally as well on the server from time to time. The problem is, this will happen on just about any FF server, on just about any game. Now, I'm not trying to make any excuses here, just stating a fact. TK'ing, especially intentionally, is still extremely unacceptable. We at eGO are doing our best to dwindle this activity down, and hopefully end it completely...or at least deter other from doing by making an example of those that do. If you enjoyed the server, and perhaps even the competitiveness that the clan *does* bring into their gameplay, then I'm happy to announce that we also have a non-FF server that can be quite fun to play.

I apologize on behalf of the clan for the poor experience that you had on the server due to this immature behavior, and just want to let you know that we *are* working to make this server one that's fun to play for *everyone*, eGO and pub alike. We strive to make our servers enjoyable, mature, and safe environments for all parties involved. We will look into the issue of intentional TK'ers, and hopefully find a means to end this activity beyond the auto-kick system.

Thank you for pointing this out to us, and letting us know how we can make this server better for everyone. I hope that this experience hasn't scorned you completely, and that you'll join us again on both our FF and non-FF servers sometime. Please, feel free to reply with any other input you might have on our servers, and how we can make the gameplay experience better for everyone.

I apologize again for coming in here under these circumstances, after posting I started to think if such a post would effect others from not playing on your server. I can only hope that it does not, though it seems there is a pretty good fan base so you probably don't have much to worry about. I would have been better off PMing in the first place. If I should see it again I'll just PM instead of making it public and let you handle that way.

respectfully

I have no tolerance for intentional TK'ing, but that being said even I have an accident once in a while. If I see someone doing it intentionally, they're gone lickity split.

Intentional TKing is NEVER acceptable by a clan member. If I see it being done by a member with a tag, I won't care if it is an e, eG, or eGO, they will be removed from the server.
That said, please keep in mind that Insurgency is a fairly new thing for eGO. We are still working out the kinks in our servers. Also, many of our members are trying out the game, coming from other divisions, and I know that often the first time in the game it is difficult to distinguish friend from foe, and mistakes are made.Since Insurgency is free, many members are just "trying it out" and come in briefly, and may not understand the rules.
If someone is repeatedly tking you on our servers, my advice is to add some eGs and eGOs to your steam friends, so you can contact them to deal with the situation.
Thanks for letting us know, so that we can be more diligent enforcing these rules in the future! I hope to see you in-game!

Things are looking up...

I don't know if the INS devs did anything to affect the net code but the game seems to run quite a bit smoother than last time. Also, games on your server have been much more entertaining and fun. Those that appear new I try to steer along the path of righteousness and generally works out for the better.

What I found funny last night was a random pubber spawn camping the marines on Sinjar, as often happens....but later on when the team count was in favor of the Marines and they started spawn camping us, that particular individual started complaining about it. Funny how one person does it it's okay, but when it's done back to them it's wrong! :D

Server is going well,thanks.

Glad to see things have turned out better for you roller. I can kinda feel your pain on TKs, but I have noticed that almost all TKs that happen outside of spawn, are accidental. I myself have even gotten the autokick for something like 4-5 tks in a 45 minute period. Couple of things you can do to help prevent yourself from being tked.

Always use your mic. IE: Im moving into alpha from the front entrance.

If you see some enemies go into a room, and you see all of them get killed, do not go into that room without saying it first. Good chance you will be killed along with the rest of them.

If you and a friendly are firing down range at an enemy, do not move forward. There is a very good chance you will take a bullet in the back.

There is another rampart problem in INS not just on the EG server. It has to do with certain people entering the game and then purposely spawn blocking until someone kills them in order to get out of the spawn. This then seems to get them thinking it is their right to set of nades and rockets in our spawn tking everyone. Unfortunately we didn't have a admin on at the time so we couldn't do anything about it.

Thanks for making this thread. The eG's & eGO's will be on the lookout for these kind of people.

hum? i play ins sometimes and the server i usually play has no tk and we shot between ourselfs for fun during the run to the battlefield but i never saw any tk yet, altho me and doomcat have saw some wierd sprays eh doom.

If you are shotting yourselves for fun as you run to the battlefield does that not mean you will die sooner? Can it not lead to to TKs? Can it not mean a stray bullet hits a team mate?

This has been resolved. Thanks for letting us know what was going on, and giving us a chance to rectify the problem. FF off server means no tks can happen. FF on server was where this was happening.

Im going to close this thread and move on, thanks.
