yeah, that's pretty much it
my tf2 keeps crashing to desktop with no error message every time the website server splash thing is supposed to come up

I can get into game of course by pressing continue before the site loads up, but every time the server resets it's crashed straight to desktop, no error message

before an ie message asked me to update my adobe plugin, then freezing up, and once I did, it started crashing

any idea what this is about or how to fix?
thanks!

There are already three seperate threads about the MOTD crashing people's games... and it does not have to do with needing a flash update... :-(

um im not sure um yeah im probably not the best pesron to ask but ill try to look it up or see what is causeing it

I have the same issue with the eGO splash screen. My solution was to turn the sound quality down to medium rather than High. Something about the web browser + flash + all the TF2 sounds causes the game to overload the virtual memory. I think a less hefty loading screen from eGO would also help to alleviate the problem.

Have you tried increasing the amount of virtual memory in Windows? This is an adjustable option. See here for how to increase it: http://www.delete-computer-history.com/increase-virtual-memory.html

Woops, I didn't mean virtual memory >.< I meant Paged Pool memory. Different things.

Also on further investigation, I think its more related to the reaction of the PC to loading so much flash in the MOTD website and the sound + game loading that causes the issue.
