eGO Promotional Video

Lol, I feel being on of the few without a mic ^^ Or i have one, but it sucks, bad quality.

Yeah, that's perfectly fine. I'm probably not gonna have more than 5 people per division talk anyway. I just like having options open. I need a lot of people for assorted background action.

I can't wait to see the final video. I'd help but I don't have a mic, so it would be stupid for me to help out when there are already 20 people with mic's helping in the TF2 division.

Haha, I'm curious to see what the final video will look like too. After realizing that it would be best to chop the video up into 5 sections that are 5 minutes long (one for each division), it kinda dawned on me just how hard it would be to try and make each division relatively unique.

Each division is just part of the eGO whole and so it's gonna be the same rules, the same testimonials, the same reasons for joining, and relatively similar events. Plus to explain our rules and why we have them becomes an interesting game of how to even that out. If you say the same thing in every video it gets stale, but if you spread them out too much it feels like they are disconnected with each other.

This has actually set my writing back a bit. That and the test I just took that I've been studying for.

Alright, I'm still working on the lines because the second idea has now been scrapped in favor of a new one. My original idea was a solid video with one theme. My second idea was scrapped in favor of separate videos that would be independent of each other yet all part of the same big picture. That has been modified so that each video will now cover a section of the larger picture, with separate elements. In example, the first video would be about how to join and why you should. The next video might talk about the rules and etc.

I'd like to give daps to RUSH for his help off-site in the planning process.

Most likely I'll be using Sony Vegas. I'm still running the trial version and I think it's got a few days left on there. If it runs out on me, then I'm going to fall back on what I've always used up until this point: Media Maker.

PROCESS FOR ROLE ASSIGNMENT HAS BEEN UPDATED!

Okay, I've decided on a theme for the videos. It'll be following the old timey kind of infomercials where some guy (Timmy) will be interested in something when the disembodied voice (in this case, they will be on screen. Hopefully the division leaders) speaks up to them.

The videos will follow a single player who travels across all the divisions and as such will need to be someone with all the games. To transition smoothly from one division to another, another player will take on a third or 4th speaking role per video and transition with the character Timmy. As such, the person will need to be someone who also shares the game currently being filmed and the next film in the series.

The videos will be released individually, one at a time over the span of a week or two. The order will be Call of Duty, Insurgency, Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, and finally Team Fortress.

I've already decided on some of the speakers for the first few videos and I'll be PMing them to let them know shortly. The scripts will be sent out either Friday afternoon or Sunday evening.

Hehe, let`s hope that trial has a couple of days left, Media Maker is not a filmmakers dream ^^

Just dont wait to long, I wanna get my video going, lol. JK.
Haha, if you want to start it, feel free to. Just let me know what day(s) you plan to film so we don't overlap. You're only using TF2 right? Cause that's my last section I'm doing, so it'll be a little longer before I get to it than the others.
