eGO Promotional Video

I'm sure you already have more than enough volunteers, but just in case...

I'm more than willing to help out. I have a microphone, and COD4, CS:S, TF2, Insurgency, and am willing to grab DoD if it'll help.

Yeah, I've got plenty of volunteers, though I could use you for CoD4. I've got I think 4 speaking parts currently for that division, but I could use some extras for background gaming.

I'll volunteer for the cod4 division.
I do have a mic.

Whats up with all of these people ive never heard of in the cod4 list?

Hey i can help out the cod4 division. A lot of the guys over there know me since i play there all the time. I have a mic also.

hey mr dogma, since tf2 is gonna be last, when do u plan to record for that section? just curious since its confirmed that i have the sat nov 15th off so i can do some work w/ ya.

I'll see what I can do about still recording it on that day, the release schedule is more of just that: an order of what video is released when. I might not necessarily be working in the exact order of the releases.

Do you have a mic? If so I've solved the problem of figuring out which CoD4 division leader to cast into that role for the first video. Would you be the one I talk to about setting off some server time for recording purposes?

UPDATE FOR TF2 SCRIPT

Alright, well I've assigned different themes for each video and the TF2 division is gonna be in charge of testimonials. I'm going to have a very brief script that will be read beforehand, but the bulk of that video will be actual player testimonials.

So, if you want a speaking role, send me a brief testimonial about why you joined eGO, why you enjoy it here, and why you've stayed. Please try and keep it under 30 seconds. Absolutely no longer than 45 seconds.

Record it using Audacity (link on the front page) and include a Notepad .txt file with it that includes the words you're speaking. It'll be useful when I'm doing the lip synchronizations.

Please try and send me the testimonials by Friday. I'm gonna need some time to listen to all of them and then lip sync them if I think it's a good one. I'm shooting to have the filming done this Saturday night, so try and leave that evening open.

I suggest you send me the testimonials using Rapidshare, but if you've got another way to do it, that's fine too.

Mmmkay, well I've got several announcements to make.

First, I actually really expected at least one person to have sent me a testimonial by now, since it's really not all that long. I really need them by this coming Friday because I've got to look through all the clips, decide which ones sound good (content-wise), and then start choreographing them one by one and decide what keys to assign them to in order make filming smoother from my end. I'm still planning for the TF2 section to be filmed this Saturday, but Friday night I've already got time scheduled to film the CoD4 section, so I'll be taking care of any last minute situations and be editing that night as well as choreographing. So please, don't send them in past 4PM CST (-6 GMT) on Friday. That is a deadline.

Second, I have the password set aside for the filming this Friday night during the CoD4 portion. It'll be sent out tomorrow. All the additional details I believe are taken care of. I'll be contacting my main actors again tomorrow night to see if they have any last minute questions or issues.

Third, in the chance you guys can't really decide of what to say during your testimonial, just go with the truth. I don't expect you to try and sell it off as something not true, that's why I asked you to write a short testimonial instead of me writing it for you. Anyway, I'm gonna write a short example here if you really need inspiration. This is actually my story.

"I actually joined eGO because I thought it might be a competitive clan since the first night I played was a planned inter-house scrim in the DoD section. I later learned it wasn't, but I stuck around anyway because I liked being part of a larger community, I respected the ideals to make a place where everyone can play without being harassed, and I made a lot of friends here. It's a fun place and I'm glad I joined up."

It's not all that long, but it covers all the bases. It says why I joined up and why I stuck around. If yours is a little longer or a little shorter that's fine. At a casual rate, mine runs almost 20 seconds long, so yeah.

Last, to reiterate just how much I need these testimonials, if I don't have at least 5 people who have sent me testimonials by that deadline, I will end up postponing the TF2 section and replacing it with another division for filming that night.

Quintuple post!

Alright, first off, daps to Kat-24 for being the first to send me a testimonial and for alerting me to something I forgot to mention in my instructions.

I forgot to mention how to export the file as a WAV file when you send it to me. Once you've recorded your voice, I need you to select "File" up top and scroll down to "Export as WAV". You can save it as whatever. I specifically need WAV files because that's what the Face Poser choreography works with.

I'll send out another wave of PMs to amend this.

XD

Okay, so the CoD4 filming is tonight, and like a silly guy, I didn't specify which server it would be on. I also forgot to ask Eire for a specific one, so I asked him a little bit ago to put it on the HC Tact server, so we'll see how that turns out.

EDIT: Oh, also, I've currently got 2 testimonials. Hopin more show up. ;_;

EDIT 2: Alright, the filming will be on the HC Tact server.
