wow...i find it so wierd pyros are so popular, i mean i hate them (mostly because of what they do to me in game but also because of playstyle)

heres something for ya, i THINK i did this once but it was a long time ago:

if a medic begins an uber but switches to the ubersaw in the middle of it and hits someone with it will the uber charge back up, keep going down, or just stay the same? i THINK it goes up but its something to try

also thanks for giveing me a position i'll try to be there :D
 
We're going to try to get Demos of the events... but the camera people need to be around. The question is... can you get 20+ frames per second of video at 800x600? That's what we need for the video.

I can film, and I can show you an alternative to FRAPS that will record in 720p if you're interested. It's free, and runs very well.

Edit: Look at my sig, I can pull 180fps at 800x600, lol. I play at 1920x1200 with full settings and AA on 16x with 60+ FPS all the time, so I think we'll be good.
 
I dont know if someone said it already but YES the train on well can be stopped. We did it in an event along time ago.
 
i just thought of something i saw a loooong time ago (yeah i keep comeing up with myths dont i)

myth: can a scout useing his baseball bat hit a stickybomb fired at juuuust the right spot back at the demoman

myth: can 2 soldiers if they fire they're rockets at just the right angle, cause they're rockets to hit eachother and explode?

and Mostly harmless take a look at page 5 and a little way down you'll see i posted a video on stopping the train.
 
JV I never said that, I said Auto is the one who choses, he knows a heck of alot more about the video stuff than me.

Mostly Harmless, I know 2 way to stop the train, but its still a fun thing to do. Wont be a major Myth.

And I'll think about those myths.

just record with source recorder, you get 30fps all the time even if your pc sucks...
 
Ok so its 1:30am and i went to bed at 12:00am. couldn't sleep and for some reason this thread popped into my head. so i have some myths to add. and some updated info.

Regarding Teleporters. I've HEARD you can tele-frag people. but have never actually seen it. So....

  • Tele-Myth 1: Can you telefrag your own team.
  • Tele-Myth 2: Can you telefrag the other team.
  • Tele-Myth 3: What happens if an engineer deconstructs his tele-exit the split-second you start to teleport?
  • Tele-Myth 4: What happens if a demo-man 8-sticky bombs the tele-exit the split-second you start to teleport?
  • Tele-Myth 5: *Can you tele-frag an uber Team-Mate?
  • Tele-Myth 6: *Can you tele-frag an uber Enemy?

my info update: I am a rocketman. I am a soldier. Since back before there was even a Quake-TF. so thanks for putting me as the soldier. BUT: I WILL PLAY ANYTHING YOU NEED. now granted it looks like alot of us will probably be there. so you may not need other things. and i'll gladly just stand around as a soldier if you don't need me. but if you need soldier stuff i wunna do it. if you do not need soldier stuff i will do anything you need.

Well glad to see my idea has been burned into Relliks mind forever, mwuhaha! lol. sooo many Myths added, sooooo early in the morning. I'll think them ALL over and get back to yall later today hopefully.

Tele-fragging is when (usually) an enemy is on a teleporter and someone teleports through, and since both players can't be in the same spot, the person on the teleporter is killed. Example:

RED Engineer setups teleporter in corner
BLU Soldier hides in corner to reload on top of teleporter w/o noticing it
RED Heavy uses teleporter to move to front lines
BLU Soldier dies and RED Engineer recieves point
 
Myth No. 2 You can take down a sentry with a pyro taunt
Myth No. 3 You can not take down a sentry with a heavy taunt.
 
Idea for a MYTH: Can two medics heal an injured player faster than one medic? Or is the extra medic superfluous ?


Another Myth: Someone told me the heavy runs faster if he switches to the shotgun.
