Anyone else getting it?

I am slightly disappointed in the release of 3 different versions of this game.
I HAVE to get Terran version only because the Protoss version won't be released for a while. I'm not getting Zergs because my economics teacher (weird eh?) is getting the Zerg version of Starcraft 2 and we are planning on exchanging discs just for the different POVs.

Anyways, just let me know which version you will most likely get

Terrans (wings of liberty)
Zurg (heart of the swarm)
Protoss (legacy of the void)

P.S. i hate those stupid crystals in the Protoss team, the ones where you have to build your stuff around.

it doesn't quite work like that. Its buy the first game, the terran one, then they will realease 2 expainsions containing a few ne units for mutliplayer an each of the other campagins.

Blizzard is an expert on leeching money from wallets and providing as little as possible for your money!

I'll definitely get SC3 if my comp supports it...Blizzard games have a lot of replay value. I played SC2 for eight years, then I finally just got WCIII a year ago.

I'm sorry but I picked up the original Starcraft for lets say $20-$25 and guess what. They are still supporting it...tweaking game play...fixing even the smallest of errors.

Please name another company that still supports a game 10 years after making it...other than Valve I mean.

P.S I understand the statement...yes I hate WoW also.

I will get all 3 and the original version (Starcraft 1# fanboy), sooner or later, they will make an expansion like broodwar, that includes all the units from all 3 expansion, add few power-ups and new units and so on.

blizzard are money leacher :p
they will be adding a cash shop to wow for extra customization..well thats the rumor from a leak

Yea, Ill be getting all three... Just gotta think of the other campaigns as expansions, and hopefully they will be priced as such.

Also, this is in the wrong forum

Do you all understand why they did this? The truth is hidden so well....They did this becouse the game is not 100% ready yet they only have 40% of it done..so they split it into three games to buy them selfs time with out loseing cash..

I dont think this has been hidden... they said specifically that they were not close to finishing the single player game because they kept adding and adding and making it bigger. They split it so that it would actually be released relatively soon instead of making us wait years. In addition, in terms of single player campaign length, they said that each of the campaigns will be as long or longer than the entire campaign of the original starcraft.

I'll be honest. This has kind of soured me on SC2 a little bit. I'll be even more annoyed if each of the three games is priced at the typical $60 new game price. I've been very excited about this game, but having to buy 3 games instead of one... Furthermore, the fact that not all units will be immediately available makes me wonder about how that will affect multiplayer.

I'll probably still end up buying the game, but if each release is priced at $60, I'll probably just wait until they release the entire set together at a reduced price.

That's a good idea Respawn...but there's no telling how long we'll have to wait for that!

i think they said there will be about a year between each release.

Well, with the backlog of games I currently have, it probably won't affect me too much. I can probably wait. :)

Actually, Terrans were my favorite race in SC1. It was a shame that they weren't competitive in multiplayer.
