Gibs?

Ever since I had TF2, my gibs aren't limbs, they're baloon animals and burgers, and things like that. I've been trying to find out how to turn this off, but couldn't find out. This is really annoying because I would like to play TF2 to it's potential, not all cartoonish.
Does anyone have a way to make the Gibs regular?
If you could give me an answer, I would give you 1,000,000 Internets.

Buy another copy of TF2, message valve too take off the first copy from your account and install it, or email valve asking for them to take it off the account mabye.

Some people found patches others made to remove the censored version, theres probably a few on FPSbanana to do that.

You're wrong guys! You don't need a patch or rebuy the game! All you have to do us set your steam settings to english!
I've got the german version, too and I just set my steam to english (mainly for HL?...) and suddenly my TF2 was the original, uncensored version. The voiceacting is alot better, too.

Haha who would of known it was that simple... so since mines is an english version, if I convert it the steam interface to german, I would get the balloon effects on my TF2?

If your TF2 then sets itself automatically to german, yes. Beware, the voiceacting is teh suck. But you guys would probably laugh your butts off because of the bad voiceacting anyway.

tf_birthdays 0, is the command to turn it back to normal on servers, try it on yours.
