Hey all, thought that I would give you an update of things that are going on behind the scenes. I know you are all excited to hear what we are cooking up. First off, Id like to start off by apologizing for me being scarce lately. Ive been feeling under the weather. Im not back to 100% but Ill get over it. So here is the big news!
In 2 weeks we will be kicking off the dog tag scrims for the INS division. Dog tag scrims, for people new to Edge Gamers, are inter-divisional scrims where e's face eG's or eGO's. Its essentially a face off between ranks to see who has the bragging rights.
Next on the lineup is promotions! For you e's that want to become an admin this is your chance to step up show us what you got. The first rule to being promoted is not asking for it. Just show us that you are ready in the forums and in the server. Sixxgunn and I will be trolling the forums and servers looking for people that we feel are worthy to reach the next level.
Ive been getting TONS of questions about admin school. Your questions are not falling on deaf ears. Right now they are getting the admin schools set up in CS:S and then after that, it is our turn to get set up for it. For the time being, if you are field promoted and have TF2 or DOD let us know so we can get you signed up for an admin training course!
Something else that Sixxgunn and I have been working on is discussing the map rotation and whether to add a permanent map vote system to the servers. We are in the process of bringing this up to Council to see what we can do for you all. If you were at the meeting last night, you heard JohnT say that HLstatsX is coming to our servers. This gives you all a chance to see how you rank up compared to everyone else.
If you are ranked eGO and want to take on more responsibility within the Division, please let Sixxgunn or I know. We may have a spot for you. Right now we are looking for senior O's to step up and show us they are willing to do what it takes to make this division work.
