Archer INS sig

I've came a long way to do what I can now with photoshop, although I'm sure many of you are far better then I am. And because I know some people out there are better then me, I would like a bit of assistance.

The above image I made not long before posting this, but I don't know a good way to put my name on it. Text has never been my strong suit. I just want it to have "Archer" on it, but I want it to look good and fit in.

I like it, except one thing:
I really don't like the drop shadow, I think it is too far from the image. Just my opinion Very will done

You could have he marines logo in perspective, do this in edit > transform so it looks like its on the peice of rock/sheild/whatever. For your text use an earthy colour, and under the marines logo, to do this make the marines logo a bit smaller and again do the perspective thing. Also lowe the opacity on the text/ set the blending mode to overlay. Just kinda experiment with it.

I plan to get rid of the drop shadow from the main image (was messing around) But I have no idea how to put my name on it and have it look good. I was able to do it on my current sig (IMO) but on this one all my ideas turned out bad.

Midget, changing the perspective was a great idea. It made a hell of a difference, and for the better. Thanks for the tip.
