S0n3c's guide to playing engineer on 2fort

Yay finally some criticism :D!

Now I don't want to start a big discussion, but I'm not sure I agree with you. Demos and heavies are good at defending but who has the patience for that? Let alone the fact that a well placed level 3 sentry is the only thing that can stop un-ubered players in their tracks.

Engineers decide where the battle lines are drawn. If you have ever played Turbine, which I'm sure everyone has, you will know what I mean.

Different spots give you different amounts of kills. Camping in the intel might get you a spy kill or two, but as I showed in my video, a sentry placed just inside their entrance can give you a bunch of kills within 5 minutes!

Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you muchly!

True statement about turbine. Offensive engineering on turbine is much more useful then defensive. Got 55 points one life as an engineer on turbine once. you can rack up 5-6 kills in a few minutes if u place it right and enemy doesnt know about it. You just wait for them to leave their base and presto:D

Everyone has the right to have their own oppinion, so do you. ;)

While it's true that most people don't try to risk their lives because there is a sentry, the same happens with stickies. If people know there are stickies, they'll go another way. THat does the same as a sentry... And since the demo is a human player he chooses his own targets and can't be sapped. :p

Doesn't answer my question, does it? It's still just babysitting your sentry. If you're not just standing next to your sentry I'm sorry but in this short video it looks like just the same.

I, for once, dislike babysitting sentries. Since TFC I'd rather run around with my teammates, kill stuff, build stuff, and destroy stuff. (God, I miss my EMP 'nade)
And since there are usually more than enough defending engis I can play how I'd like to. :)
