Anyone else here...

Yep, I'm constantly working on my mountain bikes/bmx bike. When I'm not gaming I'm going as fast as possible off jumps and through trees. At least when I don't have a recently dislocated shoulder like right now....
 
Nice. I havent riden single track in a long time...

I stick to 4 wheeled things for the most part. Im starting to get parts for a big block thats going into my 70 chevy truck.
 
I have a back road where I live where I drive fast as ell, lol. And hang with my friends Auto, and Acreot.
 
I love modding my '05 Mustang GT ;)

Gonna put a super charger in it by christimas hopefully!!
 
That should be fun...thinking of a paxton, or another brand?

Those 4.6L 'stangs can be pretty quick...I just dont like ford too much. Lol.
 
Not sure yet, trying to find a cheap one. =P But I will save a lot when I install it instead of paying some guy to install it for $1500 or so. SoCal modding shops charge crazy amounts of money. And surprisingly I haven't had too many issues with the fact that it's a ford.
 
There are just some things that ford engineers didnt think through enough for my tastes...like the oiling system on my truck. For the first 3 seconds or so, the oiling system has nothing going to the main bearings of the crank. Causes premature wear, and failure. Not something I would expect on a truck described as a work horse.

Granted other companies have similar issues...Ive just had more issues with ford than any other brand.

And once you start going that route...nothing is really cheap. Paxton is good, but they do charge for what they make. You could also look into a magnacharger...those things haul like crazy.

Self install for the win though. Whereabouts in LA do you live? Im just a hop skip and a hour long drive away from there, in craptastic Corona.

I live in Fullerton in Orange County but I know where Corona is, I have some friends out there. Yeah some of my friends have Ford trucks and it's a pain sometimes to them they say. I'm happy with my mustang though. Yeah, I noticed that most super chargers are the same price, kind of depends on the brand though. I just want a good one that won't kill my engine after 5 years for a decent price and hopefully one locally because shipping is exspensive as hell for these things.
 
When not in game, I am usually just bugging my wife around the house... but I have been known to spend a fair shar of time under the engine bays of various 4 cylinder vehicles (from my now wrecked and gone Impreza to my current 07 Civic Si) and still try to act like I am into some level of mtn biking and the very rare occasion of auto-x racing in the Civic.
 
I am an engineer in the coast guard so i work on 47' Motor Life boats when I am on duty down in the engine room. Also like to work on electronics around the station.

Other than that I don't really do any other mechanical work.
 
I have had nothing but issues with fords that I have bought. Chevy on the other hand has never left me stranded.

That, and ford service parts are harder to change than some other manufacturers.
