rotation servers?

hey, why dont we have any rotation servers for dod or cs? dont get me wrong i love 24/7 servers, but i think we need a lil more variety. plz get back to me.

Don't take this as an official answer, but Rotation servers never worked out for EGO for the time I have been here. They always sit empty, and to quote The Drunken Sailor, "An empty server is just like burning a $100 bill." Having a certain map on all the time makes people want to play. 24/7 Servers are always ranked higher than rotation. (most of the time..) By being ranked in the top 5, people notice us. More people want to join a clan that is higher ranked and well known in the gaming community, therefor we get more members. And more members = more donations and more cash. More cash = more servers and games supported by us. Being on top also attracts sponsors for our raffles, and raffles mean more money donated to the clan. So if we have awesome gear like routers and headsets, then more people will donate to try and win the prize.

With a 24/7 server, you maintain your population when the map timelimit ends. If you run a rotation, it becomes very inconsistent because people will leave after their map is done being played. A 24/7 is able to constantly provide the map the player wants when they play.

Plus there are several 24/7 servers that eGO has so you still get plenty of options... My only suggestion on this is. on Call of Duty 4, We have that HC Tact server... that sits empty all day until about 5pm and then it normally has from 2-10 people until 10. Personally I dont think that could be good for our clan... but It may be doing better then I think.

Perhaps it would be better to discuss those specific things and situations with Advisors and/or Division Leaders for your division? Just a thought...

Does Eire.32 decide what servers goes on, or is it a list of the council? or milwuakee, or someone lol just tell me who and I will get them on xfire or vent.

The way the majority of players are is that they want to play a certain map. Like me, personally, when I jump on DoD I want to play Donner..... and that's it. If I jump on a rotation when it's on Donner and it switches to say Palermo after 30 minutes..... I'm off to find another server playing Donner. 24/7 servers don't empty on a map change. An unpopular map can be like a bad band at a club, it'll clear the place out QUICK.

We've tried the rotation server idea in all of the divisions with not the best results.

I agree. I see what you mean thats why im saying if you want to switch maps after awhile, just got to another eGO 24/7 server on a different map. I think eGO needs to keep building server amounts and games

I like rotation maps, so I just go to other servers to play them. I understand eGO's stance on them, so I don't really discuss it; I adjust by playing elsewhere instead.

That said, I'm usually in a cs_office mood, so go figure...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, we're not actively supporting cod5, so I s'pose you could be in a cod5 clan... Again, I'm not 100% about this, so ask a cod4 DL
