Crazy mic sounds

well every time I'm on DoD and if i have vent or steam voices chat and if i get Pm's if i try to talk in-game or on steam or vent my Mic sounds like a parrot getting its leg riped off it sounds so bad and the only way for me to fix it is that i have to restart my PC which i don't want to do every time that happens so tell me your ideas on how to fix this...help would me much appreciated.
